Tugging at the Heart Strings

Last week we had to take Ella to the Doctor to get her 2 month shots (yes I know...my baby is growing up). I always told myself I would never be one of those mothers who left the room when their baby was getting immunization shots. Well.....alot changes after you have a baby and I made Jake be the "bad guy" and hold her while I left the room. After two minutes of the saddest tears!!! Ella fell asleep. This picture is of her just after I came back into the room after the last shot! Doesn't that sad face just tug at your heart strings? What a trooper. Ella is doing great though! She is at the 50% for everything! Currently weighing in at 10.2 lbs and 22 inches long. She sleeps 7-8 hours a night and greets me every morning with the most adorable smile. YAHOO!! We love you Ella!!

I'm right there with you Erin! I had to leave the room when Ellie got her shots as well! That picture of her after is so sad, it really does make me want to cry, I think it's being a mom because I was never like that before!

Erin, you crack me up! Jeremy has always made ME be the bad guy. And to tell you the truth, it never gets any easier. The thing that helps me out, is remembering the bad things that I'm protecting them from by getting the evil shots. And they always stop crying after a minute or two. Until they're 4 and starting preschool. Picture me with a 4 yr.old Skyler, 3 yr. old Trey, and 1 yr.old Paige in the doctors office. They ALL have to get shots. I have Skyler go first cause he's tough, then Paige, they're both screaming, and Trey is hiding under the table and won't come out for his... Super fun day... and not enough mommy arms to comfort them all... :) REALLY funny memory now. And so will yours be to you. Love you guys, she's adorable. Your announcement was super cute, too! How could it not be with that face on it! Have fun and enjoy every minute, even the hard ones. :)
